Since 1968, Hot Wheels has been a sought-after collectible die-cast toy car produced by Mattel. Each vehicle meticulously replicates a variety of makes and models, including those from General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Motors, and more. The Hot Wheels franchise encompasses racetrack sets, and its appeal has expanded into the realms of movies, animation, and games. For many years, Hot Wheels faced its primary competition from Matchbox until Mattel acquired Tyco (Matchbox's owner at that time) in 1996.
